Movie in Central Park

Every Thursday, the Baker County Safe Communities Coalition shows a free kids movie in Central Park, which is located just east of Resort Street, between Washington and Valley streets.

The movie starts at dusk.

Regional Theatre holds Vintage Movie Weekend

Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre will host a Vintage Movie Weekend, Aug. 17-20, starting at 6 p.m. each night at the Iron Gate Theater, located upstairs in Basche-Sage Place, 2101 Main St. Admission is $5.

Here is the complete lineup of movies:

  • Aug. 17: Comedy night double feature — “The Three Stooges” and “March of the Wooden Soldiers”
  • Aug. 18: Western night double feature — “Santa Fe Trail” and “McLintock”
  • Aug. 19: Thriller night double feature — “Night of the Living Dead” and “The Little Shop of Horrors”
  • Aug. 20: Science fiction double feature — “Teenagers from Outer Space” and “Attack of the Giant Leeches.”


Outdoor film festival screening and preview

Join Eastern Oregon Film Festival members, fans and friends for a back alley special screening and some sneak peeks of this year’s program.

Eastern Oregon Film Festival is a not-for-profit event put on each year by a team of dedicated volunteers.

It relies on member support to sustain this event and continue to bring top notch film to Eastern Oregon.

The event will take place today from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Side A Brewing, 1219 Washington Ave., La Grande.

Teen Movie Night held at Cook Memorial Library

Cook Memorial Library will host its regular Teen Movie Night at 6 p.m. Aug. 18.

The free movie is sponsored by the Union County Safe Communities Coalition. The library is situated at 2006 Fourth St., La Grande.
