The two-day, indoor art sale is an opportunity to find unique, handmade gifts in time for the holidays. Art Center East selects Handmade Holidays vendors for the quality and uniqueness of their work and coordinates the lineup to include a balanced selection of items. This year’s event features 35 regional artisans.

The variety of options span paintings, ceramics, jewelry, stained or blown glass, textiles, screen printing, leather items, handmade skillets, soaps and stationery.

No resale or corporate merchandise is accepted into Handmade Holidays. All items for sale are made by the artist selling them. In addition, vendors keep all profits from their sales, providing local artists with the capital to experiment, explore and innovate. With each purchase, Handmade Holidays shoppers help grow the local arts community, according to a press release sent by Art Center East.

Warm beverages and caroling round out the festive weekend.

In addition to the Handmade Holiday vendor lineup, Art Center East has a newly expanded and renovated Gift Gallery featuring the work of over 30 regional artists.

Handmade Holidays runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18. There is no cost to enter and look around.

Art Center East is located at 1006 Penn Ave., La Grande. For more information visit www.artcentereast.org or call 541-624-2800.
